This last winter during the Mavericks contest (won by San Clemente’s Greg Long), Neil “Moowalker” Armstrong was in town. We got together and he told me that he was hoping to shoot and write a feature on surfing in San Francisco and the surrounding areas. Over couple weeks, me and a few other SF area surfers worked with the Aussie photographer to grant him his wish.
Over the years, Neil and I have successfully (and happily) collaborated on articles for Pacific Longboarder, Australia. Here’s the results of our latest effort: “The Beat Goes On”. It will be included in the latest issue of Pacific Longboarder magazine. The bad news is Pacific Longboarder lost its U.S. Distribution and the good news is you can still purchase it at the following web address: www.pacificlongboarder.com
P.S. At the end of the article there are some additional Moonwalker photos of me surfing as well as local Pacifica surfer and owner of the Log Shop Surf Shop in Pacifica California Tait Cowan that didn’t make it into the article. Neil has always been super cool about sending photos of me that he’s shot. So, thanks, Neil, for all your contributions; I am looking forward to next time.
