Jed Noll Surfboards Marko iFoam, Steve Thomas Model at The Surfing Heritage Foundation

Recently Steve Thomas Donated one of his models to The Surfing Heritage Foundation made by Jed Noll. We are very proud to have a modern Noll Surfboard at the foundation.

The Surfing Heritage Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving, presenting and promoting surfing’s heritage for the appreciation and education of current and future generations; and to achieving our goal of surfing being more accurately understood, represented and enjoyed.

Focusing on the complete spectrum of surfing’s history and development,  including but not limited to significant surfboards, photography and the full range of other forms of information and objects of cultural value.

Establishing a world-class museum/resource facility, including an  outreach program that creates exhibits and develops venues for effective traveling and/or off-site display: that this facility might serve as a symbolic center for the wave riding culture in the United States, dedicated to the understanding and appreciation of surfing as a sport, lifestyle, and culture.

Building a community who actively support the Surfing Heritage Foundation with fundraising, promotion and advocacy.

Longboarder and Death Weasel

Longboarder and Death Weasel

Photos: Daniel Franks
Words: Steven Thomas

Here is some recent images of Jon Steel A.K.A “Death Weasel” and I taken by Daniel Franks. Jon is an amazing surfer as well as an amazing Surf photographer. I don’t know that many Surf photographers that are badass surfers that will slice the throats of waves like Steel. If you want to check out some of his surf photos be sure and check out his snaps at www.jonsteelephoto.com

Cosmic tube time for Jon Steele.

I often think of my Longboard as a battle Axe and I’m a Viking warrior and the waves are dragons.

San O Sunday 3-28-10

You know what I like about San O? It’s like going surf camping, but no sleep over. Everybody is surfing, taking naps, and cooking something over an open fire. I didn’t understand the attraction to San O until I moved down to Southern California. For a guy who doesn’t have a lot of time to go camping San O really dose the trick for some camping relief. Here are some images of this past Sunday at San O.

Big Shorts To Fill. Photos By: Daniel Franks

Check out these shots. There were only 50 pairs of these trunks made for the GN team. They're pretty cool trunks however wearing the trunks that represent Greg Noll is pretty intimidating to say the least.
